Docusign is the de facto market leader of e-signing products founded in 2003. They have developed their product offering now for close to 20 years. Agrello’s platform is relatively younger but takes more advantage of modern concepts, like cloud collaboration, an easy-to-use web app, and higher cyber security.
While DocuSign caters to many e-signing use cases, their cloud-collaboration capabilities are still relatively young. Even Agrello had shareable document spaces before Docusign’s Agreement Cloud.
DocuSign's Personal plan ($10/month) does not offer many features that Agrello offers out of the box. For example, to have a bulk creation feature you need to subscribe to their Business Pro plan ($40/per user per month). Also, the Personal plan is limited to 5 documents per month and has no cloud-collaboration features.
Agrello does not charge extra for viewer accounts for shared document spaces making it much more cost-effective to collaborate compared to Docusign.
In addition, there is a slight difference on how the digital signature is created in Docusign vs Agrello. While Docusign creates a digital signature (not to be confused with the visual scribble user places to document) each time any user downloads the document, Agrello creates the digital signature each time the user actually signs the document. Basically, DocuSign provides a stamp of approval for each download saying that, yes we prove it’s valid. Agrello on the other hand create a digital fingerprint after each signature - making much easier to make the document damper-proof.
DocuSign is changing how business gets done by empowering more than 250,000 companies and more than 100 million users in 188 countries to send, sign and manage agreements anytime, anywhere, on any device with trust and confidence. DocuSign replaces printing, faxing, scanning and overnighting paper documents to transact business. Their technology enables organizations of every size, industry and geography to make every agreement fully digital to keep life and business moving forward.
