From a Pipedrive Deal to a Signed Contract: How Agrello Helps Sales Teams

Pipedrive deal data flows into an Agrello contract template, and the signed agreement returns to the CRM record.

Create contracts from Pipedrive deal data and export signed documents back to the relevant CRM record.

For a sales team, a customer’s “yes” is an important moment, but it is not the finish line. The deal still needs to become a contract, be sent for signing, and then be stored with the right customer and deal.

The process often slows down when sales data is already in Pipedrive but has to be copied elsewhere to prepare the contract. After signing, someone may also have to download the file and add it to the correct CRM record. The Pipedrive and Agrello integration helps streamline both steps: existing deal data can be used to prepare the contract, and the completed signed document can be exported from Agrello to Pipedrive.

From deal data to a contract

Agrello can use data from a Pipedrive deal and its linked person and organisation to fill contract template fields. The sales representative selects a template in Agrello, finds the right deal, and creates a document using its data. The contract can be reviewed and edited before it is sent.

Pipedrive remains the place where sales deals are managed. Agrello connects a won deal with contract preparation and signing, without requiring customer data to be entered again by hand.

How does Pipedrive data get into the contract?

Before the first use, the workspace owner connects Pipedrive to Agrello and maps the contract template fields to the relevant data fields. The document can then be created as follows:

  1. Open a suitable contract template in Agrello and select the Pipedrive integration.
  2. Choose the document output format and search for the right deal.
  3. Select the deal and create the contract.
  4. Check the data brought in from Pipedrive and complete the document if needed.
  5. Send the contract for signing.

Template fields can be mapped to person, organisation, or deal fields in Pipedrive. For example, the customer’s name can come from person data, the company name from organisation data, and the contract value from deal data. If a source field is empty in Pipedrive, check the corresponding field in the Agrello document as well.

Send the signed contract back to Pipedrive

Once the document is signed, there is no need to download it and add it to Pipedrive manually. In Agrello, open the document’s more options menu, select Export to Pipedrive, choose the destination record, and click Export. After the export, the file appears in the selected Pipedrive record’s History section as a document or file entry.

This lets the sales team find the signed contract alongside the relevant deal and its sales activity. The result of the contract workflow in Agrello is available again in the CRM record, where it is easier to find in the context of the deal.

Set up a template once and reuse it

Before using the integration, map the document fields in the Agrello template to the corresponding Pipedrive data. For example, the customer name can be linked to a person, the company name to an organisation, and contract terms to deal fields. Once the mappings are saved, the same template can be used for future deals.

Automation works best when Pipedrive data is up to date and the required fields are complete. Review the generated document before sending it for signing, and choose the correct Pipedrive record when exporting it.

Who is the integration for?

The Pipedrive and Agrello connection is a good fit for businesses whose sales teams manage deals in Pipedrive and regularly create sales contracts with a similar structure. It is especially useful when you want to reduce repeated data entry and keep the signed contract available with the relevant deal.
